Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers and help regarding the Real Age Calculator.
How is the exact age calculated?
We use the internationally recognized Gregorian calendar standard. The system compares your entered birth date with the selected end date (default is today). The algorithm strictly accounts for the varying number of days in each month (e.g., 30 or 31 days) and automatically identifies February 29th in leap years, providing you with precise results down to the year, month, day, and even second.
Is my birthday data secure?
Absolutely secure. One of our core principles is protecting user privacy. All date inputs and age calculations are performed entirely locally on your device (in your browser). We do not upload your birth date or any personal information to our servers, nor do we collect or store this data.
Can I calculate my age for a specific date in the past or future?
Yes. On the homepage input section, you can expand the 'Add End Date' option. Simply change the default 'Today' to any historical or future date you wish to query, and the system will automatically calculate your exact age on that specific day.
How is 'Life Progress' calculated?
Life Progress is a fun and reflective perspective. To provide a reasonable reference: if your current age is under 75, the system calculates the percentage based on an 80-year life expectancy benchmark; if you are 75 or older, it uses a 100-year benchmark. The maximum progress displayed is 100%.
How can I share my calculation results with friends?
In the top right corner of the age detail page, there is a 'Share' button. Clicking it automatically copies a unique URL link containing your calculation parameters. You can paste and send this link to your friends, and they will see the exact same calculation results when they open it (again, this process is purely local and involves no server storage).
